The six paddlers that went on the Saturday outing up the Ottawa River, 6.2 miles, enjoyed some surprises! It was over 5 hours of paddling, that presented two Railroad bridges to some wildlife, also the solitude, being in the middle of a city was unbelievable! Once they paddled past Stickney Ave, the “danger [...] We are scheduling 2 more Saturday outings to put on your calendar, September 3rd (Laborday Weekend) and Saturday September 17th. We have a couple of request to paddle the Halfway Creek again, since a few people could not attend that date and would like to paddle the Creek, the other would be to paddle [...] We are having another “Saturday” outing on August 27th, please be ready to leave the HP Landing @ 9am, and paddle up the Ottawa River as far as we can go, hopefully to the old Jeep plant ! It is 2-3 hrs each way and don’t forget to bring lots of water!! [...] The Halfway Creek outing was great! A number of people that participated in the Saturday event came because they are not able to attend the evening events!
