The October 25th’s meeting, will have as a guest speaker, Charlie Johnson, a club member. Charlie works with a youth group, that builds wood canoes. A couple of the boys will come with Charlie and show pictures of the canoe that is currently under construction and will have tickets for sale for raffling of [...] The moon was shining at its fullest Sunday evening, lighting the way for the eleven kayakers that braved the dark waters of the Ottawa River! The water was like a glistering sheet of glass as the moon reflected on the still water, accompanied by the warm air that ever so gently made [...] Saturday’s weather was just great for an outing, it hit 79 degrees and sunny. Sheila, Bob and Chris left the Howard Pinkley Landing at 1PM and headed up stream for a 5 hour adventure! They stopped and enjoyed the passing of a train over the CSX Bridge and were able to feel the great [...] First annual Northwest Ohio River Runner’s Canoe/Kayak moonlight cruse will be this Sunday, October 9th, at the Howard Pinkley Landing, 2250 Shoreland Ave. We will gather at 7 PM and launch by 7:15, paddling the Ottawa River down to the Summit Street Bridge and back, taking about 45 minutes, weather permitting.
