Last night was another beautiful evening to be canoeing and kayaking on the Ottawa River! The NorthWest Ohio River Runners paddled out on the Ottawa River from the HP Landing on Shoreland Ave., leaving at 6:30. We paddled up the river to the CSX railroad bridge, at which point, Lorraine broke out the Girl [...] There will be a meeting to have an informative presentation on Birding, presented by Kim Kaseman of the Toledo Metroparks. There is no charge and open to the public. This meeting will be instead of having an outing (no Outing Tuesday May 22nd) and will be at the Friendship Park Community Center [...] Next Saturday We will have an outing down in Defiance, on the Maumee river! This is the Maumee Valley Tri-Adventure race, May 19th, 2012, this is a Tri-Athalon – starting with a 36 mile biking, 6 miles of canoe or kayaking, finally 6 miles of hiking with a back pack. The Boating starts at [...] Tuesday evening’s outing, the first of this year, was attended by 11 paddlers! The weather was great, low 70′s and a breeze coming out of the west, making the paddle of returning to the HP Landing from Summit St. a little bit challenging.
