Steve Pollick is retired from the Toledo Blade as the Outdoors Editor. Steve has traveled the world and has many stories to share. Since retiring, he has taken up kayaking.

Doors open at 6pm; Meeting begins at 6:30pm.

You will also be able to purchase raffle tickets (3/$20) at this meeting. We will be announcing the winners at the April meeting.

Raffle includes a paddle, dry bag, Otter box, rash guard shirts and a book.  All proceeds will help sponsor NWORR events.

Patrick Forrester, founder and owner of Falcon Sails, will talk about sails on kayaks. He will be discussing the ease of installing a sail and how to “navigate” your kayak with a sail on it.

Doors open at 6pm; Meeting begins at 6:30pm.

March 2019 Meeting: Paddle Sport Safety Class Part 1 @ Metroparks Hall
Mar 19 @ 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Free Paddlesport safety classes, presented by Pat Groves and Robin Rex of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. This is the first of two classes.

This class covers basic terminology and safety equipment.

Part two will be help April 16th, 2019 and will follow up on the handling of your craft in various situations. No in-water training.

Doors open at 6pm; Meeting begins at 6:30pm.

You will also be able to purchase raffle tickets (3/$20) at this meeting. We will be announcing the winners at the April meeting.

Tuesday Weekly Outing @ Howard Pinkley Landing
May 7 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Join us for our regular Tuesday night paddle.  We will be launching from the Howard Pinkley Landing (HP Landing) located at 2250 Shoreland Avenue, Toledo OH. The launch point is on the Ottawa River near Point Place.  (Off I-75 – exit 209 – Ottawa River Road)

Note: In case of cancellation due to weather, we launch from Cullen Park on Thursday evenings.  Watch the calendar or Facebook for updates.

Paddling starts at 6:30PM sharp with sign in and launch between 6pm and 6:15pm.  You must bring, and wear, a PFD.

Our paddle season generally lasts through the end of September, weather permitting, but may continue through October.  Watch the calendar for updates!
