Steve Pollick is retired from the Toledo Blade as the Outdoors Editor. Steve has traveled the world and has many stories to share, but since retiring he has taken up kayaking!

Doors open at 6pm.  Closest place to park is in lots 4 or 5.

You will also be able to purchase raffle tickets (3/$20) at this event. We will be announcing winners at the April meeting. Prizes include a paddle, dry bag, Otter box, Rash guard shirts, and book.  

All proceeds help sponsor NWORR events.

February 2019 Meeting @ Metroparks Hall

Patrick Forrester founder and owner of Falcon Sails, will talk about sails on kayaks. He will be discussing the ease of installing a sail and how to “navigate” your kayak with a sail on it.

Doors Open at 6pm.

Park in lots 4 or 5.

March 2019 Meeting: Paddle Sport Safety Class Part 1 @ Metroparks Hall
Mar 19 @ 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm

Free Paddlesport safety classes, presented by Pat Groves and Robin Rex of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary. This is the first of two classes.

This class covers basic terminology and safety equipment.

The second training class will be April 16th, 2019 and will follow up on the handling of your craft in various situations. No in water training.

Doors Open at 6pm.

Park in lots 4 or 5.

You will also be able to purchase raffle tickets (3/$20) at this event. We will be announcing winners at the April meeting. Prizes include a paddle, dry bag, Otter box, Rash guard shirts, and book.
